The Briercrest College and Seminary is a private evangelical post-secondary educational institution, established in 1935 and located in Caronport, Saskatchewan, Canada. It comprises a college and a seminary and operates the Caronport High School. The college has affiliations with the University of Saskatchewan, Minot State University, AUCC, ATS, and ABHE. The seminary college is associated with the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology (SIAST) and has transfer agreements with the universities of Regina and Saskatchewan. Briercrest College and Seminary offers a wide range of certification degrees including; one-year certificates, Associate of Arts degrees, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts, and Master of Divinity degrees. Briercrest also offers distance learning courses at both the college and seminary levels, the college also employs a modular format (typically one course in one week) for most of its courses. Briercrest Bible College Tuition
For the 2022 year, total tuition for 8 courses (24 credit hours) is $8,256. Textbooks will cost approximately $800 for the year.
Briercrest Bible College Admission
Applicants wishing to be accepted into Briercrest College as a full-time or part-time student must meet the following criteria;
Have a high school diploma with a minimum average of 65 percent in five approved courses which must include a grade of at least 60 percent in one academic English course.Be a professing and practicing Christian.Commit to living by the standards set out by Briercrest College and Seminary.Complete and submit all portions of the College Application Portfolio.
On the basis of a conditional acceptance; the students will be able to register for a maximum of 12 credit hours in their first two (2) semesters at Briercrest. Accepted students will be required to register for ENG 100 Literature and Composition I in their first semester. The students will meet with an academic coach (an employee of the Student Success Centre) on a weekly basis for the first two (2) semesters at Briercrest. The cost for these weekly sessions is $200 per semester and will be charged to the student’s account at the beginning of the semester. Briercrest College scholarships
Eligibility:
Students applying for Briercrest College scholarships must submit their application by the stated deadline. Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must be registered for and complete 18 credit hours during the academic year. Preference will be given to on-campus courses. And chosen students must maintain good standing in the year the award is given. Financial Awards available to Briercrest Seminary and college students include;
Briercrest Board Reunion Bursary – $2,000, 2 available
This award is open to seminary students in full-time studies preparing for full-time vocational church, mission, or Para-church ministry with financial need. Successful applicants may also apply to receive this award more than once.
Schnare/Oickle Memorial Bursary – $1,000
This award is open to students who demonstrate servanthood and leadership qualities with preference given to those from the Atlantic Provinces.
Joseph Chung Award – $2,500
This award is open to students who have demonstrated a commitment to missionary service or ministry to people with special needs.
Briercrest Opportunity Fund – $4,000
This award is open to full-time students who have demonstrated an active life of service to his or her community and has financial need.
Robert and Janet Adam Memorial Bursary – $1000
This award is open to a student family continuing student with preference given to students in either the Biblical Studies or Theological Studies program; and who demonstrates financial need; and who are preparing for full-time Christian service.
