First, make sure the pipe side prong is fully seated on the pipe and uniformly distributed over the release collar, while the fitting side of the removal tool is positioned above the fittings’ barrel.Pull the fitting away from the pipe by squeezing the removal tool handle until the release collar is fully compressed.It may be easier to dislodge the fitting by slightly turning the pipe or fitting.Remove the tool and reconnect it if the fitting does not release, making sure the prongs are correctly and evenly positioned on the release collar and fitting.
