There is no restricted admission and the program begins each winter semester. Applicants with foreign certificates can apply until 31 July. The program’s objective is to acquire wide-ranging expertise and skills in the field of mechanical engineering. Alongside pure subject knowledge, the ability to work independently and know how to approach diverse tasks is given a very high priority. The core subjects during the program in semesters 1 to 4 include; Mathematics, physics, computer science, technical mechanics, fundamentals of design, machine elements, CAD, manufacturing, materials technology, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, electrical engineering, electrical machines, measurement and sensor technology, control engineering, and technology. There is no need for tuition fees at this university.

DIPLOMA UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES

This university offers a practical, application-oriented academic training in the field of mechanic engineering in the form of presence- or distance studies. The standard period of study in distance learning with Saturday’s lectures at many nationwide study centers DIPLOMA is 7 semesters and the campus program is available in 6 semesters at the Bad Sooden-Allendorf. As a part-time study, this distance learning version offers an even better location and compatibility between studies and work for fewer costs. The tuition fee is about 7,500 EUR.

HOCHSCHULE STRALSUND – UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES

Studying for a mechanic program at Stralsund University of Applied Sciences is top-ranked, on the modern campus right on the Baltic Sea. The program starts during the winter semester Approval for a duration of 7 semesters. The Credit points are graded from 210 ECTS Degree and the lecture Language is  German only. The Pre-requisites general university entrance qualification (Abitur) or Fachhochschulreife and examination information can be inquired at the General Counseling Office. The tuition fee is about 71,00 €.

OSTFALIA UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCE

Ostfalia is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Lower Saxony, a state-of-the-art university of technology, health, law, social and business studies. There are currently around nine thousand students enrolled at the university, as a result of the effects of the Higher Education Reform Pact 2020 across Germany and the lowering of the age at which university entrance examinations can be taken. This school offers programs in English and German, with campuses at Salzgitter (SZ), Wolfenbüttel (WF), Wolfsburg (WOB) and Suderburg (UE). The application process for EU and non-EU students can be accessed on the university’s official website at https://www.ostfalia.de/cms/en/iso/iso_international-students/iso_exchange-students/iso_application/ To apply, first apply at your home university and once you are nominated for an exchange program by our home university, ensure to contact Sandra Bösel to send you a link to our online application portal. The following documents have to be uploaded; CV, Transcript of Records (a list of all courses you attended at your home university, including grades), Copy of ID or passport, 1 passport-sized photo (for all international students) and Learning Agreement ERASMUS and Copy of health insurance card (EHIC) (Additional for EU exchange students). Once you have submitted your online application to the Ostfalia University, the International Student Office is going to ask the faculty for acceptance. If the faculty accepts your application, the International Student Office is going to send you an Invitation Letter (for the NON-EU students) and a signed Learning Agreement and signed the student application form (for the EU-students). The deadlines are May 31 st for the winter semester and November 30th for the summer semester. The tuition fee is about 17,000 EUR.

BBW UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES

With its internationally recognized Bachelor of Engineering degree, the BBW University of Applied Sciences offers prospective candidates the opportunity to combine established theoretical knowledge with vocational and practical experience. This enables to assume challenging jobs in the development and construction of mechatronic systems, implementation of complex systems, assembly and automation technology, implementation of automation solutions, and quality control. In six semesters (full time) or eight semesters (part-time), students will be enabled to take the exam to qualify as a mechanical engineer. Businesses can promote their young academic employees by sponsoring a part-time course in the scope of human resources development. The program concept was developed and evaluated in collaboration with the Verband der Metall- und Elektroindustrie in Berlin und Brandenburg (VME). Through a joint initiative from the State of Berlin, Bildungswerk der Wirtschaft in Berlin and Brandenburg. The BBW University of Applied Sciences a sponsorship is available to employees of Berln-based companies living in Berlin to pursue part-time studies in Mechanic engineering. The tuition fee is 55,000 EUR.

RWTH INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY / RWTH AACHEN UNIVERSITY

The RWTH Aachen International Academy is a non-profit subsidiary school of RWTH Aachen University. With support from the Faculty of Mechanic Engineering, the Academy offers Master programs, particularly designed to meet the needs of international students. The tuition fee to study mechanic engineering at this university is about 25,000 EUR. In 2019, the university’s WINTER SCHOOL for international students will be open to welcome new students. This Winter School will revolve around “Smart Factory”, with a focus on merging the virtual and physical worlds through cyber-physical systems, which are part of the Industry 4.0 movement of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies. The Winter School will run for a period of  2 weeks starting from February yearly, tutoring through a Scope of 90 Teaching Units. Candidates should have a minimum age of 18 years. Course fees are about 1,990.00 EUR.
